Chapter 1 tells the story about when Kinoingan was searching the Earth for food and resources to give the mortals during the famine. While he was away on his search, his wife Suminundu heard a voice that told her the solution to the problem. The voice told her that to end the famine, she has to sacrifice her daughter, Poninzuvung and bury various parts of her body in the earth. The first rice plant emerged from one of Poninzuvung's body parts.

Chapter 2 tells the story about how the Bobohizan of the village senses the spiritual presence of Bambaazon. She quickly figures out that the reason why the rice fields are are now aplenty is because of this new spirit of Bambaazon. She was asked by the villagers about what to do about the newfound food fortune.

Chapter 2

Chapter 3 tells the story about how Kinoingan returned from his expedition, only to find that his beloved daughter has been killed behind his back. This threw Kinoingan into a rage. In his rage, he went down to the mortal realm and caused many natural disasters such as tsunamis, earthquakes, and floods. These natural disasters destroyed the plants that grew from Poninzuvung's body.

Chapter 3

in the fourth chapter, Bambaazon emerges to soothe the anger of her father. She reassures her father that she is alright and her sacrifice was for the good of all. After Kinoingan calmed down, Bambaazon teaches him several rituals to show appreciation to her sacrifica and also to appease the spirits in the mortal realm.

Chapter 4

The final chapter tells the story about the Bobohizan receiving a message from the spirit realm. She received instructions on how to perform the rituals to appease the spirits of the mortal realm as well as rituals to thank Bambaazon for her sacrifice. Here is where the dance Sumazau was born as a dance ritual offering to the goddess.
